A Challenge

This is my most basic blog post.  I challenge Mormons to show counter evidence that the LDS corporate engine is NOT giving property to apostles.  I've presented what appears to be pretty valid documentation that at least some apostles are profiting by being called prophets.  That is damning because their motives are now suspect.  Dig out the county recorder docs and prove me wrong.

  1. Blow it out your ear, Twede. A few homes in the bank proves nothing about the truth of the gospel. God will condemn you for your rebellion.

  5. I love how the obvious Mormons commenting here resort to name calling instead of picking up the gauntlet.

    1. That's because they are angry because their beliefs are being challenged. They are brainwashed and conditioned since little to NOT question anything the church says, and brand anyone who does question it as ''bad''. Truth of the matter here is that they CANNOT prove this challenge wrong, because the poster came with actual real evidence no one can really dispute. So, of course that all they've got is name calling. What else?

  6. So is anyone going to attempt to discredit him? I certainly can't. All my evidence points to agreement.

  7. On of the things I love so much about my church is 4 times a year, our pastor shows everyone the quarterly financials. At the end of the year, he shows the fiscal year end records. There is complete openness in how much my church gets from tithing, and where the money goes, including how much my pastor, and his aides make.

    1. "LIKE" (thumb up) I dont think a lifetime Mormon can relate at all to how churches that are NOT Mormon function--with transparency. This is why they dont see any issues Dave brings up as being any big deal. Those of us outside the church see these evidences as the huge gape in integrity that they really are. Mormons are taught a rather patronizing view of other churches and their members: "They have some of the truth, but not all of it." So it is easy for them to dismiss the practices of other churches that outshine their own. Or, at least, I should say, when I was Mormon, that was the condescending attitude I had. Many others I knew had the same point of view.

Any Mormon can come on here and reply, "Oh, the church doesnt teach that! We love our brothers and sisters outside of the church!" And my reply to that is I know the church implies heavily many bad attitudes without openly teaching it. I lived it. I didnt get there by myself.

  8. Someone has already replied regarding this in David's last post. I'm guessing David just doesn't understand.

  9. Living in these lavish homes, in this world. I don't know that I would be able to say there's very much humanity there. Sounds pretty inhumane to me. It's beyond greed. It's avarice.

  10. What we need and I think someday will get, is a Bradley Manning type insider who will leak the confidential financial records to the world. It really would be interesting to see who's getting what and then how they try to defend it. Many honest tithe payers are doing without whilst the church oligarchs are doing very nicely on the backs of the faithful. Follow the money and we will be lead to the truth. Keep up the good work.

  11. wow. what a discussion. I don't care about any of this. Let them deal with it and let them enjoy their homes.

  12. I came across this and found very interesting responses. Some defend anything and everything blindly and name call anyone that has a different take. We are told that even if the Hierarchy are wrong do not question anything. A 3 to 4 Billion $ Mall wasn't paid by tithing money (where did it come from originally) Why do condo's loaned out for GA at the time of their service become theirs and pass down to family? Why are GA's on Boards making good money because of their status or their expertise? I was always told that they were given money just to cover expenses plus I'm sure they were collecting their SS/other investments if they were successful. I always had King Benjamin in mind when thinking that GAs did not take more than they really needed. We all have given service over many years at the expense of our families while working etc.. certainly pay more than 10% "gross". This isn't suppose to be a corporate business with all kinds of perks. I keep thinking what was Jesus do...yes I would like to see the churches financial dealings, nothing wrong with knowing. Other churches show theirs. Would certainly prove that things are above board and would be nice to show that the church gives more than 30 million to charity with the 6 Billion they receive. I am assuming they include in that 30 all the extra money we send in and includes what we give to the DI, church welfare etc. Malls are more important than charity?? I could go on with what I've learned historically about the church. First I was angered with what was being said and out to prove them all wrong..after 10 years of reading history.well I couldn't. The church is coming out slowly...tidbits of truth...wish they could come out and tell the whole truth, nothing but the truth SHMGod but that would blow members minds. What most members in the church do not realize are there are 1000s leaving the church because of an integrity issue on the part of the church. The devil will not get you for searching for truth...Jesus said "Come let's reason together." He certainly was not afraid of the truth why should we be afraid?
